Hi!
I’m pretty excited – I just transferred my blog over to wordpress from blogger. I did it the easy way (and used fiverr to have someone do it). I’m glad I did it and I’m super glad I didn’t have to learn how to do it and was able to have it done for an affordable price!
Looking at new & exciting things to do for Crafty Card Gallery this year 🙂 If you have cards you would like to submit to the app, email me at craftycardgallery at gmail dot com 🙂
When I was at CHA I went to a Prime Publishing blogger event and had the opportunity to meet someone from Share A Sale (who recommended me moving my blogger account). If you’re interested in Share A Sale you can find more information here.
I got a set of these great 36 Pack Double Ended Markers from Leisure Arts. I used them to do some coloring this week and LOVE them! They were great markers. They are water based and have a bullet tip (fine point – great for getting into the little nooks & crannies when coloring) and a brush tip (great for covering large areas at one time). These markers colored smoothly (and quickly) on different types of papers. They work better than some of the more expensive markers I have. I got these markers for free – but I definitely feel like they are a great value at their $9.99 price.
As part of the affiliate program from Share A Sale, my blog readers get 15% off on their orders at Leisure Arts! What a deal!
I also used a cool Sakura Permapaque pen I got there to do the blue coloring. Very cool – it’s a paint pen, you can see through it and it didn’t smear!
And this turned into a simple Valentines Day Card (you know I had to end with a card, right?)
I also colored the Share A Sale Look Book so I could post it on instagram with the same markers… It did great!

Hi all,
Deborah here with a Valentine’s Day share. I know Valentine’s is over, but our Theme for this month is Love/Sweets so I made a banner for Valentine’s Day and thought I would share.
For my banner I used an old tag that I traced on Kraft cardstock and then cut out. I placed eyelets at the top of the tags and ran lace through each one.
Supplies I used:
Embossing folder – dots
Paper – Blue Fern – Blush
Martha Stewart Punches
Prima – frames that I sprayed with color bloom sprays – cotton candy
Buttons from Buttons Galore
From my stash – lace, white pearls, feathers are from Joanns, wooden bird,
Vellum Valentine’s Day from Quick Quotes
Reneabouquets – butterflies (just gorgeous) & Chunky Glitter Glass – Sand & Glass Microbeads – Gold
Tim Holtz – Remnant Rubs – Botanical & Apothecary and Sizzix Thinlits/TH Celebrate – sentiments die “happy”
I shaded around each tag with PowderPuff – Very Berry.
I sprayed the frame with Color Bloom – Cotton Candy to give a little pink affect.
I placed glue around the inside of the frame and then
used Reneabouquet glass microbeads – Gold and let it dry. Also used the
TH Remnant Rubs “LOVE”inside the frame. Added a feathers and a button.
Here I added a wooden bird I colored with a brown marker and added
gold stickles to the wings. I also added sentiments from the TH
Remnant Rubs and drew a heart. The white butterfly is from Reneabouquets.
I used a Prima frame and added some pink paint on the from and added some
Reneabouquet Chunky Glitter Glass – Sand on top of the pink areas.
Again I added TH Remnant Rubs female silhouette. A little pink flower
I had in my stash.
On the first tag I used Sizzix Thinlits/TH Celebrate – sentiments die “happy”
and a Vellum sentiment from Quick Quotes.
There is a heart shaped button and a little pink flower from my stash.
2nd Tag – has some feathers and heart shaped button from Buttons Galore.
Well I hope you found some inspiration today. With Easter coming up I think this might be a great idea to use as well, don’t you think?
Thanks for joining me today and for stopping by. Please poke around our site to see some other wonderful creations my teamies made, you definitely will get inspired.
Have a great crafty day,
Deborah
Hi everyone! It is me, Tonya! I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day. The hubby and I went to Bluegrass Underground for a concert in Cumberland Caverns. Yep, music in a cave. The acoustics are incredible and the temperature inside is 56 degrees year round which I still think it is cold but yesterday the temps where 32 degrees and it actually felt warm once we got inside the cave. That was my Valentine’s Day gift along with a trip to Sonic afterwards for a Butterfingers Blast…yum!
Anyway this month’s theme over at the Crafty Card Gallery blog is Valentine’s Day and I want to share the card I created.
I started with a folded 4″x6″ patterned cardstock as the base for my card. I layered four pieces of patterned cardstock across the base of the card, then a gold foiled heart which I adhered all pieces down.
Next adhered two more scraps of cardstock diagonal on top of the foil heart.
Lastly I added always and forever diecut sentiment from my stash, Ric Rac and a button with thread to finish off this card. Very simple yet elegant. 🙂 If you have any questions about this card please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!
Hi! It’s me, Tonya!!! I hope everyone had an awesome Valentine’s Day. Mine was spent in a very cold house with no electricity because of a snow storm that came through the day before. I have determined that I would have never made it as a pioneer because I don’t do roughing it very well. I was so happy that it finally came back on Saturday…three days is way too long!!! The hubby and I wound up going out to eat on Saturday and to see Steep Canyon Rangers perform for our Valentine’s Day presents to each other.
Well, this is the card I created for the February Valentine’s Day challenge. The card is made out of a 3.5″x6.75″ mini paperbag. I folded the top half of the bag underneath the bottom “flap” and then I cut slightly smaller than the bag scrapbook paper to cover all surfaces.
Next I use the Sizzix Bigz Beautiful Butterflies and the Hearts and Brackets dies to cut out two butterflies and a small hearts. Also I used two dress pins for the butterflies antenna.
You can add candy, gift card or some other fun treat to the little bag card.
The sentiment I used the computer to print it off.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Tuesday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!
