Happy Birthday Sweetie

Hi everyone! It’s me, Tonya and I am here to share my card I created for this month’s birthday theme challenge.
I have been really into pastel colors lately and decided I would start with a pink piece of 8 1/2″ x 5″ which I folded in half to create the card base. I cut a piece kraft and printed cardstocks slightly smaller than the front and inked all the edges before adhering to the base of the card.

Next I glued a mint green doily to the base along three scraps of patterned cardstock from my scrap stash and trim.

The cupcake image is a printable that I sized up. I distressed the edges and inked. I added a sequin and a Dew Drop to the top of the cupcake and tada…finished! 🙂 If you have any questions about this card please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Friday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Always and Forever

Hi everyone! It is me, Tonya! I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day. The hubby and I went to Bluegrass Underground for a concert in Cumberland Caverns. Yep, music in a cave. The acoustics are incredible and the temperature inside is 56 degrees year round which I still think it is cold but yesterday the temps where 32 degrees and it actually felt warm once we got inside the cave. That was my Valentine’s Day gift along with a trip to Sonic afterwards for a Butterfingers Blast…yum!
Anyway this month’s theme over at the Crafty Card Gallery blog is Valentine’s Day and I want to share the card I created.

I started with a folded 4″x6″ patterned cardstock as the base for my card. I layered four pieces of patterned cardstock across the base of the card, then a gold foiled heart which I adhered all pieces down.

Next adhered two more scraps of cardstock diagonal on top of the foil heart.

Lastly I added always and forever diecut sentiment from my stash, Ric Rac and a button with thread to finish off this card. Very simple yet elegant. 🙂 If you have any questions about this card please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!

You are the Bee’s Knees

Hi everyone! It’s me, Tonya and I am here to share a card for Crafty Card Gallery blog and this month’s theme is CHA inspired. Since I had some of my projects in some of the booths at CHA and I had used digital images/vintage theme I chose to go that route with my card.
I started with a 6″x6″ piece of cardstock from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Paper Pad which I folded in half…3″x6″…to create a card base. I gathered up scraps of patterned cardstock that had a vintage, pinkish, valentinish feel. Which I cut, punched and adhered to the front of the card.

The girl image I found on Tammy Tutterow’s blog and best part it is free. I love the mischievous look on the little girl’s face. I sized the image down and fussy cut out. Next I printed out some butterfly wings that I purchased from Altered Pages and I fussy cut those out too. I adhered the wings to the back of the girl and then glued her to the card base. The wings I added a little Stickles to the wings and punched a crown out and glued to the little girl’s head. I also added flat back pearls to the crown.

I finished off the card with bits of lace and trim and a button. Also on the scalloped edge of the cardstock I added sequin and more flat back pearls. The sentiment I printed from the computer. The plan is to use this card in a Valentine’s Day card swap that I signed up for over on Instagram…fingers crossed she likes it. 🙂
If you have any questions about this card please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Vintage Inspired Santa Tag

Hi everyone! I am here to share a very quick project for Crafty Card Gallery blog and this month’s theme is Christmas. I know this is not a card but since I was needing a tag for my journal I thought I would share anyways. 🙂
I started with a 8 1/2″x3″ manilla tag as the base for my tag and then adhered a variety of patterned Christmas cardstock to the base and cut several bits of ric rac, fiber, beading and ribbon and tied to the top of the tag.

I used the Stampendous Jolly Santa stamp and stamped on white cardstock and a variety of patterned cardstock (hat and holly) which I fussy cut all out. The patterned cardstock I adhered to the top of the white Santa cut out. Next I lightly inked Santa’s beard in a tan to give it a vintage look. I used chalk on the face, cheeks and eyes. I glued the image to the tag and then added Stickles to the beard, hat and holly to finish off this quick little project. I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any questions about this tag please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Little Christmas Elf Card

Hi everyone! This month’s theme is Christmas here at Crafty Card Gallery and I am here to share my take on this month’s theme. Also if you didn’t know there is only 36 days until Christmas. It is so hard to believe that it is right around the corner. YIKES! I have been on a quest to try and use up scraps of cardstock on projects and this is what I came up with just using bits and pieces I had laying around.
I started with a 6″x6″ piece of Red Plain Linen Cardstock which I folded to 3″x6″ to create the card base. I ran a scrap of Brick Glitter Cardstock through my diecut machine using the Spellbinders Long Classic Scalloped Rectangle die and then I embossed it with the Snow Globe folder. Next I gathered more scraps and cut into banners and adhered to the card. The little tab that sticks out on the card is actually a clothing tag that I inked the edges and covered with some cardstock, sequin and dew drop.

The little “elf” girl I found online but I can’t remember where so if I do remember I will add the link. I printed her off and fussy cut out. I cut a little pointy hat out and glued it and the little girl to the card base.

I used the poinsettia diecut and cut the flower out three times and shaped with a stylus. I glued together, added a bit of green Ric Rac and metallic thread along with a gold sequin and dew drop to finish off the poinsettia.
If you have any questions about this card please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!
