Designer Beth ~ November Challenge “Fall & Thanksgiving!”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today I’m sharing with you our challenge for this month with the The Crafty Card Gallery design team.  For this challenge our theme is Fall; so we’re designing with leaves, fall colors, pumpkins and thanksgiving.  We could use one or as many as we’d like.
Here is my design:
For my card I focused around Thanksgiving and Fall using fall colors.  More details about my card can be found on my blog here.
Thanks for joining me, may you have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Designer Beth ~ April Challenge “New Technique!”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, I’m sharing with you our “challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.

For this challenge we we’re asked to make a card with a new technique.

Here is my design:

For my new technique this month I decided to use Gelato.   I plan on doing this again as it was fun and I want to gain more experience doing this technique.
More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.

Designer Beth ~ Jan Challenge “Black & White!”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.

For this challenge we we’re given the them of penguin or black and white.  I chose to use black and white as I have a penguin blog hop I’m in later this month.

Here is my design:

Let the games begin!  We love games at our house and we play them a lot especially during the holidays so this was the perfect card to make.  Bingo, Yahtzee, Solitaire are just a few of our favorites not including board games.

My teens look forward to a monthly group game night with other families each month. They are always asking which Saturday is game night, mom?  If you don’t play games regularly I hope I’ve inspired you to play a game with your family REAL soon!

More details about my card can be found on our blog at here.

Designer Beth ~ Dec Challenge “Snowman!”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.

For this challenge we we’re asked to make a snowflake or snowman card.

Here is our design:

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.  This month we’re sharing a snowman we made.  Did you notice the snowy background behind him?  In some parts of the states they’ve already received snow.  Here in AZ we’ve received snow up on top of the mountains and are expecting temperature drops of twenty degrees between tomorrow and this weekend…WOW!!  Stay warm wherever you are and have a Merry Christmas!!

More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.

Designer Beth ~ Nov Challenge “Thanks!”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.

For this challenge we we’re asked to make a thank you card or thanksgiving themed.

Here is our design:

I changed my mind right before making my project & decided to make this “Thankful” banner.  It will be perfect in the coming weeks as my family prepares for Thanksgiving.
At our Thanksgiving dinner we usually share ten things we are thankful for each year.  At our house during the holidays it is generally just my husband and our two teenagers as we do not have family nearby.  It is something I’m used to as growing up it was very similar (my parents and two sisters)…I grew up in a military family.
We too often spent holidays with other family, church friends or military families without family nearby.  What traditions does your family have?  More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.

Designer Beth ~ August Challenge “Polka Dots”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.

For this challenge we we’re asked to focus on:
Polka dots! Inspired by a pedicure?

Here is our card:

When this challenge was posted I knew I had to do something with ladybugs; they have dots!  When you ask people what are some of your favorite things or what type of things do you collect as a hobby sometimes you will hear “ladybugs”.

I don’t collect ladybugs myself, I’ve just always liked them.  I also liked this open window style of card.

More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.
