The Butterfly Effect

Hi everyone,
I’m Christina Sedor and one of the designers from the Crafty Card Gallery.
This past week I’ve been a guest designer on this blog.
On my last post, I mentioned to all of you that I’d show you the wonderful world of butterflies….
They are very beautiful and each one is unique. You can use a lot of different techniques. They are my absolute favourite image to create with.
So, I’m going to be showing you a project using butterfly images that will leave you feeling inspired….
This project is from Tim Holtz 12 Tags for the month of March.
We had to emboss the tag, using the sizzix woodgrain. Ink it with distress inks, attach butterflies to it, (the butterflies where die cut on sticky-back paper and grunge board, then peeled and pattern paper cut into tiny pieces with spaces in between, then heat embossed with chunky embossing enamel. Sprayed with Heirloom Gold Pearl Mist.
Here’s a couple images of the butterflies close up.
Notice the shine on the butterfly wings –
I used glossy accents. This product is great for adding dimension to your projects.
The pattern pieces of paper on the wings are to create the illusion of mosaics.
Thanks for stopping by….
Christina
