Peek-a-Boo Owl Card

Hello everyone,

This months challenge from the Crafty Card Gallery Design Team, was to create a card with the theme – animals. I chose an owl. Couldn’t wait to use this stamp and combine it with other mixed media techniques. This is my mixed media Owl Card.

Isn’t he adorable?!

When Your Giddy Up has Got Up and Left

Hi everyone! It’s me, Tonya and I’m here to share a card I created for the Crafty Card Gallery blog. This months theme is animals and this is what I came up with.
I used a pre-cut card base from K & Company’s Julianne collection. I love the fact its cut to size and all you have to do fold. I stamped the Da Vinci Horse from Stampendous! onto a piece of Vanilla Fleur Glitter Cardstock  and adhered to the top of the card base  Next I cut out the “Old Dan” horse which is a free printable from Eclectic Anthology. I roughed up the edges of the printable, added part of an old zipper along the bottom of the printable and glued to the base. I printed the sentiments from the computer, cut out my own banner, used an oval distressed metal pick to adhere both sentiments to the card. I used Dew Drops to finish up my card.

I think this is a fairly easy card to do if I do say so myself. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!!!

June post – a new technique – Happy Father’s Day

Welcome!  This month’s theme was to do a new technique… so I tried something new..
I had seen some cute fathers day stamps from Jaded Blossom http://jadedblossomstamps.com/ and wanted to order them…. so in looking at their stuff I found this cute remote from http://svgcuttingfiles.com/ for a remote control to cut with my Cameo.
I bought the stamp set & the cut shape & proceeded to do for fathers day.

Here’s the end result:

So this was a new technique for me – buying an SVG file and cutting it with my Cameo.  Also making the candy wrappers was new…

It did take me a little bit to figure out how to get it to size right, and I did have some issues with my Cameo (realized I had too much paper jammed into the blade housing so I had to clean my blade to get it to work properly again).

I realize I need to get some better adhesive as they came un-stuck and had to re-stick them all.  I also made all of the remote buttons with pop dots – so that was very time intensive – but I love how it turned out & my dad thought it was great…. so I say it’s a win (plus I ate most of the leftover candy :))

Happy Father’s Day dad!  Thanks for being so great!
