Bling Challenge – sponsored by The Buckle Boutique

Welcome to the Bling Challenge – sponsored by The Buckle Boutique!
If
you’ve been following my blog, you know that I have a fabulous group of
ladies who have been making cards based on the challenge envelopes I
send them.  Some of these envelopes have been extremely challenging but
they’re always up for the challenge.

This months challenge was BLING!   Cathie, from
www.TheBuckleBoutique.com
kindly sponsored this challenge, sending me a big envelope of bling to mail
out to the participants.  If they have a blog address next to their
name, please go visit their blog as they will have a post as well.

Look at all the beautiful bling!!!

This was a fun challenge – and I know there is a lot of potential for this product.

Here’s her  take:

I used a spiral paper clip as my stationary item. It holds the ribbon well and matches the spiral in the paper where the prayer is stamped. This card would serve well as a Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for having us over for dinner card. It could be framed by the recipient and used as a decoration in following years.

Thanks so so much!

Banners for Foster Kids Birthday Partys Blog Hop

Banners for Foster Kids Birthday Partys Blog Hop

Hi!  Welcome to Foster Kids Birthday Party’s Blog Hop!  Many of you may be familiar with CardMonkey’s awesome banner hops for kids…  I was so inspired by them that I wanted to find another opportunity to do good with my crafting.  I happened upon a volunteer at Birthday Magic at a work event and followed up with them. They loved the idea of handmade birthday banners, so I put out the call and I was lucky to have 15 awesome crafters join me!  So today you will get to see everyone’s creations!

If you’ve never heard of Birthday Magic, you can see their site here –
http://www.volunteersac.org/birthdaymagic/
BirthdayMAGIC is a program of the Volunteer Center of Sacramento, which provides personalized monthly birthday parties to children currently living in Sacramento area homeless shelters, transitional living facilities, community programs or residential treatment centers.

The goal of BirthdayMAGIC is to brighten the lives of children by providing fun, meaningful and memorable birthday parties during what can be an awkward and challenging experience in their lives.
Each month, children living in these shelters will celebrate birthdays – through financial support, volunteer help and the BirthdayMAGIC program, these wonderful children will receive a birthday party thrown in their honor.
For more information on sponsoring a party please contact us at  info@volunteersac.org or call (916) 567-3100.
I’m looking forward to dropping off all the amazing banners For them to use in the parties!
So now, sit back and enjoy all the great banners!!!

You’re at the first stop in the hop – and you get to see three banners here – CardMonkey Jarvis  of http://www.cardmonkeyspaperjungle.com/  and Alene Albright’s    are posting on my blog as well as my banner….
