Guest Designer~Rachelle

Hi Everyone!
Welcome back ~Today I have a Valentine’s Card for you..
This card was pretty simple,  I used a Regular A2 Card for the base and then layered it with Chocolate chip. I cut out this frame from Accent Essentials Cartridge at 3.50″
The stamps I used are from Verve and the set is called “Hearts on Fire” and then I added some bling. I also did some stitching on my card.

My heart is with you
I hope you will stop by tomorrow to check out another card that I will have for you.

Guest Designer ~Rachelle

Hi Everyone!

My name is Rachelle, I love to design & create cards and encourage others. I am honored to be able to be here with you this week.
For Today’s Card, I made a Standard A2 Card Using Stamping Up Baja Breeze with a dark blue mat cut at 5 and 1/4 by 4 and 1/8, My Background Paper is My Minds Eye cut at 5 and 1/8 by 4, I distressed the background paper with a sanding block also by Stampin Up. I used Tim Holtz Distressing Ink (Walnut Stain) around the edges of the background paper.
For my flower I used Forever Young and cut 7 flowers at 2.5″

If you go here you can watch Mary’s flower Tutorial ~that is how I learned to make this flower and would like to give her the credit for that.
I used my Tattered Angels Mist on the flowers and it was dazzling diamonds.
Birthday Blessings can also be found over at Mary’s and it is the Make A Wish Set.
I also added some bling.

I hope you will stop by tomorrow to check out another card that I will have for you.

One more post before it’s back to the guest designers

I’m sitting in front of the computer & I just went through my big bag ‘o catalogues from my trip to CHA.  I was lucky that I had an extra bag with me because I think they would have made my suitcase over weight… 🙂
So a couple more things I wanted to share and then I’ll share two cards with you….

I tried these phenomenal markers – called touchdown!  from  These are just like copies, but at a fraction of the price.  I don’t know where you can buy them yet, but they were a huge hit at CHA…

I’m sort of regretting not buying a paper cutter that I liked – CARL 12210 Bidex heavy-duty rotary trimmer, 14-1/2 x 22 base, 12 cut  I forgot at the show and then was sick when we left.. I may hold off and use my birthday money for it!

I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy from Operation Write Home –  Sandy & I have emailed & Facebooked but never met in real life.  It was a pleasure to get to make some cards for our heroes & meet her at the OWH booth.

So the big news, my Silhoutte Cameo arrived, and I finally took it out of the box.  I don’t know that I’ll cut anything with it today, but I did take a minute and look through their online store – they have some really cute images!  You’ll be seeing some projects with it when I’m back to blogging again in a few weeks….

I am working on the app update.. Sickness delayed me, my apologies.  I have a bunch of cards to add – just need to work on it…  I’ll let you know when it’s released…

Here are a few of the make & takes that we did at CHA – just got them out of my suitcase…
I’m liking the quality of the pictures from my new iPhone.. 🙂

Another topic like marker…  I wasn’t fond of topic on metal…

Cute card with spray – the embellishment was already on the paper… My apologies, I can’t remember where it was from…

Used the i-top for the first time and made a cute quilled heart (super easy)

 Great color spray from

 Cute Magnolia stamp

Fun light up badge “bling” –

Cute gift box – love the flower – and the neat punched border wrap…  Super simple…  I can’t remember who’s punches they were… So Sorry!!!

Thanks for hanging in there…  And here are a couple of cards for you…

My valentines day card:

which was inspired by a Starbucks gift card…

and a birthday card for our friend, who’s turning 40…

Have a great day!
Tomorrow starts guest designers again – you have 4 more weeks of awesome guest designers (hope you’ve enjoyed the 2 from the previous weeks) and I’ll be back after that… I will be updating the Facebook page – so be sure to check that out too!
Talk to you soon!

CHA post 2, a little late

Sorry this post is late but I got sick immediately after CHA on Tuesday (at least I made it back to the hotel) and today is the first day I felt human enough to actually post… I feel like a cat – I didn’t know humans could sleep that much!

So, my apologies for the delay…. I wanted to share some more highlights from CHA…. With pictures this time!

So if you read my previous post, you know that I got a “sneak” preview on Sunday, and then went back for the full day with a friend.  She promises to write a guest post as well…

So we had huge plans for the day – to conquer the whole map… It was impossible….

We made a valiant attempt; but at least were able to hit the ones we wanted to see.  You definitely need at least 2 full days to see everything… And that doesn’t even allow for time for “oohing and aching” and doing all the fun projects…

We went to a non-member breakfast… I think I’ll be joining CHA…  I think there’s a lot to learn from being a member…  Then we hit the floor when the doors opened at 10 am…

We hit the Ranger booth first.  I will admit, I am uber intimidated by Tim Holtz stuff.  It looks amazing, but it’s so not my style and I just can’t get my mind around it and figure out how to make it look good.. but there was a lot of cool stuff.  I don’t know if it was my lack of coffee (the lines were way too long) but I thought this was a great layout of coffee!
We went back later when Tim Holtz was doing a demo – I tried to snap a photo but there was a huge crowd around him.. he’s definitely a celebrity!  That’s him behind all the other people trying to take photos!
Then we hit the Scor-Pal booth (  I’m a huge fan of my scor-pal.  We got to see some of their new products (that aren’t out yet)…..  Trend alert – bottle caps are quite popular this year!!!  Aren’t these great looking?
Then we saw a great storage for cling stamps (comes in its own case) at my stamp box –
Check out this card – so simple; but really cute.  I love how her black pen lines really add accent to the card!
Made this simple card at the We R Memory Makers booth – it was super easy – using a ginormous punch.  Punches are super popular this year… Plus I love the cutie patootie saying!  I’ve been saying that a lot lately!!!
Saw an amazing paper cutter that I’m still pondering…
Saw some great adhesives & cleaners by
Also got to use some starbursts sprays from Lindy’s Stamp Gang
I have a huge bag of brochures and flyers to look through… When I feel better….
Hope you have a great Friday!
