Hello everyone! It’s Dee from DeesDesignsFromMyHeart, I was invited to be a guest designer by Jennifer for the Crafty Card Gallery. I am thrilled for this great opportunity. Be sure to check out my blog
http://deesdesignsfrommyheart.blogspot.com
This is card number 1 of 3 for this week. I hope you enjoy them and find inspiration to create some of your own .
This card measures 6 x 6 and is a Valentine’s day theme. The photo that I used is printed from my own printer and cut down to fit on the base of the card.
The paper is an embossed and glittered card stock. The base of the card is a neutral color by DCWV and left blank inside for you to add your own loving sentiment.
The photo is of a vintage inspired young girl sending a love note to her sweetie. I have given the edges a rough looking cut and antiqued them with Tim Holtz distressed brown ink. I have added a chipboard butterfly, the little label that says DREAMS FULFILLED and the flowers are also chipboard that coordinates nicely with the chocolate card stock. All of the embellishments are from K and Co., I really like their paper and embellishments. I hope you enjoy.
Every card is packaged in a cellophane bag with a white envelope

On to the card…
I saw someone using 3 birds on parade a while back and loved the way it looked, so I had to buy it… This was my first time to use it!!!
I cut the bird & sentiment from 3 birds on parade, and cut the shape in the background (cupcake tag shadow – 4th button top row).
I couldn’t remember what cartridge I had cut this from and had designed it on my gypsy… My friend Rhonda told me how to find it… If you go to the file in your gypsy, and hit the little keyboard icon, and click in the bottom left corner, you can show “Cartridges in Use” and it will tell you what you cut it with! That is awesome!!! (Especially when you don’t know what the shape is called to search for it!) Thanks Rhonda!
Card is 6″x6″ as I attempt to use up my square envelopes!
The stripe and polka dot paper are from s.e.i paper pack jocelyn that I won at a crop. The other papers are just paper I had. I used jolees hot-fix gems & my i-rock for the gems. Of course the bird has googly eyes! Also, I used Stampin’ up glass glitter on the tassel and ultra fine glitter I got from stampin fools.
Front of the card:
Inside the card: (Yes, it’s upside down, my apologies) 🙂
