Designer Beth ~ June Challenge “Something Blue”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “stamp challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.
For this challenge we we’re asked to use:  Water, so it could be water colors, a drink, a pool, a lake, blue… to be featured on your card.

Here is our card:
We picked this image to use on our card as it had blue on; although it had a cute yellow duck.  I’ve always had a thing for cute yellow ducks & found myself putting my kids in gender color colors yellow & green when they were babies so ducks were included.  =)

When we purchased this we thought it was a digi’ but instead it was clip art.  We tried to do multiple features with this but were unable to & ended up cutting it out by hand.  It took quite a while as I’m a perfectionist!!
We’re happy with how it turned out & our duck is quite cute splashing in all those blue raindrops!
More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.

Designer Beth ~ May Challenge “Something Around Your Home”

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “stamp challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.
For this challenge we we’re asked to use: An item you would find in or around your home must be featured on your card.

Here is our card:

We love fruits & vegetables at our house!  You can always find an apple…in fact several types at our house.  When we moved to Arizona we never would have imagined they would have apple orchards here, but they do!  We love to go and pick them in the fall.  We have yet to find AZ cider like they have back from the Midwest but we did from some from the Midwest the past two years at Sam’s/Costco, yeah!!

More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.

Designer Beth ~ April Stamp Challenge

Hi, Beth here from The Crafty Scrap Yard!
Today, we’re sharing with you our “stamp challenge” for this month with Crafty Card Gallery design team.
For this challenge we we’re asked to: use a stamp set that’s been sitting there;  either something you bought & forgot about or your most recent purchase.
Here is the outside of our card:
and the inside with room for a personalized message.
For our project we decided to create a triple layered card.  I’ve been wanting to do one for awhile.  It took the two of us a short time to make it the other evening and we can’t wait to do it again; in fact we went and purchased some other stamps yesterday so we can make some more!
More details about our card can be found on our blog at here.

Guest Designer: Susan of Susana’s Scrappin’ Corner

Thanks to Crafty Card Gallery for having me as Guest Designer today! I always enjoy being a part of Jenn’s Design team and this challenge brought out my love of stamping! We were asked to take a stamp set we haven’t used in a while and this one surely qualified. It is an old Stampin’ Up set I have and probably used once. So I googled for inspiration and found a card layout I liked. I always change the colors and an element or two to make it my own. In this case, I used the More Amore designer paper pack from Stampin’ Up. The papers are double sided and just the perfect background. My ink was Stampin’ Up’s Melon Mambo and the sparkly came from Creative Memories P.S. I Love You Embellishment Pack. The border was made with my Creative Memories Border Maker System and Frame Chain border cartridge. Here’s my card:

The dimensions I used are as follows:

4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ for card base
4″ x 5 1/4″ for heart paper
3 3/4″ x 5″ for white base for stamping

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you visit Crafty Card Gallery‘s page and show some love there. Until next time…..
