Roses & A Cup of Tea

Good Morning ya’all,

Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Today I am sharing an ATC that is a shabby chic look. Hope you all like it as our them this Month is “Flowers”, which is perfectly fitting with spring in the air, right?

ATC’s are Artist Trading Cards which measure 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. I making these little cards as they do not take a lot of time and there is not a lot of room. So they are something quick and easy to create when you want to craft but don’t have a lot of time.

Here is what I did to accomplish this ATC –

I used Blue Fern paper collection – Blush cut my base down to 2 1/2 by 3 1/2, fussy cut the teacup, bird & flower and heart with the little message inside the teacup. I added glossy accents to the heart and teacup. Crystal stickles to the fussy cut rose. Liquid pearls white to to the metal key and Say it with Pearls by Want 2 Scrap – white pearls in the corner and left side. I adhered lace in the middle of the card and placed the Prima Rose along with the gold heart button and fussy cut heart, teachp and other items ontop of the Lace from Reneabouquets, and the glitter glass is adhered on the background and placed my Reneabouquet butterfly to finish it off. I did distress the edges of the paper and used TH distress inks broken china & spun sugar around the card.

Here you can see the Glitter Glass in the background
You can notice the white liquid pearls I placed
in the center of the Key and the little lace heart
peeking through
Supplies:
Paper – Blue Fern – Blush
Inks – TH distress inks – broken china & spun sugar
Accessories- Want 2 Scrap – say it with pearls; Buttons Galore – gold heart button; Glossy Accents; Stickles – crystals; Liquid Pearls – white; Renea Bouquets – lace, metal key, butterfly, glitter glass; Prima Marketing – pink rose
Thank you all for stopping by and hope you were inspired by my project today. Please leave some love here and visit some of my teamies posts and leave some love for them too. They are all so talented.

Julie Nutting Doll In Lace, Glitter and Bling

Hi All,

Deborah here posting another creation I made for Crafty Card Gallery
to go with our theme – female birthday for the month of March.

I know it’s a bit late but before I posted had to make sure that my swap partner received it as I had joined Scraps Of Darkness and Scrap Of Elegance facebook page Doll Tag Swap.

I always wondered why everyone loved using these Dolls and so I thought, “I gotta see what all the excitement is about them”. And I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed coloring and embellishing this doll. There is so much versatility in using these Doll Stamps. This one was an image that was previously given to me by a friend but I did go out and purchase one from Hobby Lobby. (heheheheeee)

So here is my doll tag and supplies –

Stamp – Julie Nutting Doll stamp (I don’t know the name)
Paper – Authentique – Classique Pretty and Tags
Ink – TH Distress – black soot, spun sugar; colored with Copics
Accessories – ribbon – pink; seam binding – dyed using black soot; Lace; Prima Marketing – Gold flower center, Say it in Crystals;
Stickles – ice glade; Stampendous – Frantage embossing powder used Shabby pink (for the background)
**Stash – flowers

***Close Up – you can see the Frantage spread around the

tag and image.

***To get her dress to look poofy I folded up a piece of paper
like a skirt gluing that down first and then added the Lace
on top of the paper.

Thanks for stopping by to visit us we appreciate all your comments.Hope you have a great day and stay Crafty!!

Hugs,

Deborah xxxx

A Little Color Of Happy

Happy Friday All,

Deborah here sharing a Birthday card I made for this months theme – Female Birthday.
Do you have any special “female” family members or friends you need a Birthday card for within the next few months?? Well the card I am sharing today is a card you can make using any thing you have on hand. As long as you have few sheets of patterned paper, punch, brads or color sprays.
I made this easy card today using a square punch, corner punch and a border punch, and Recollections brads,a couple of DCWV paper stack and a A2 card (pre-embossed) from their card/envelope stack. I also used Prima Bloom Sprays. (All supplies listed below)
For the card I made below I did use a sketch from DCWV blog.
Here is my card:
I sprayed the outside of my card first with my Color Bloom Sprays, set aside to dry.
I punched out 10 squares and used my corner punch on opposite side of the
squares for the odd shape, and layered.
I used the Martha Stewart Daisy Edge punch, wrapped pink twine around 4 times.
Fussy cut the flower, the brown border flag with the
orange sentiment. Used 5 Recollections brads – 1 on flower & 4 on the
punched border.
Supplies:

Papers – DCWV – Collage Art paper stack; the Celebration paper stack (Happy Birthday sentiment only); DCWV – A2 card/envelope stack (pre-embossed)
Inks – Prima Color Bloom Sprays – Cotton Candy, Soft Teal; Iris
Accessories – Recollections brads- Fall; Martha Stewart – Daisy edge punch; Corner punch;pink twine from stash
